The first major wave of that testing, a closed beta, is going down January 24 to January 29 and the development team has revealed the specific times that it will run. The best part is that it won't be covered by an NDA like the Alpha Technical Tests were.
Anyone who pre-ordered the game and all of those who joined the Insider Programme by December 1st, 2017 will have automatic access to the beta testing.
Available February 10 in Australia for the RRP of $99.95, be sure to pre-order now so you don't miss out. However, the developer added that "We've crafted a bespoke experience for Closed Beta players that offers a true taste of the pirate life and a great chance to get your sea legs ahead of March 20!"
And for those content creators who hope to share all of their seafaring adventures during the Sea of Thieves closed beta, you'll be able to make your own videos, take screenshots, and share your gameplay however you want.
If you pre-ordered the game through the Xbox or Windows Store, the client will show up 24 hours before the beta begins.
