YouTube has also been put on hold.
YouTube also asks other video creators who build their community on YouTube to be more responsible while posting anything on the platforms as they say - "We expect more of the creators who build their community on @YouTube, as we're sure you do too".
YouTube has put its original projects with Logan Paul on hold following widespread criticism over a video he posted December 31 that featured images of a suicide victim. Paul posted an apology on his Twitter account and announced on January 4 that he would be taking some time off to change his ways.
Google Preferred aggregates YouTube's top content and sells it to advertisers.
Now Google is also planning to spend extra efforts vetting those videos as a response to advertisers who expressed concerns about the content in the videos as well as Paul's video, Bloomberg News reported. The statement continued by saying that suicide is not a laughing matter and that the tragedy should not be something that brings more views to the site.
Tuesday, YouTube took to Twitter to release their official statement with their 15 million followers. YouTube Red is a paid streaming subscription that does not feature any advertisements. Rather than stop filming and retreat, Paul and his band of morons filmed the body, made fun of the deceased man, and then uploaded it all to YouTube. Many users found YouTube's reaction lukewarm, and the service has since been receiving criticisms, along with Paul, as a result.
Representatives for Paul did not immediately return requests from Reuters for comment. "I'm simply here to apologise", he said in a YouTube video called So Sorry. But most of Paul's videos are problematic.
Despite trying to make amends on more than one occasion, Logan Paul managed to become the comic book villain literally.
