Hasin Jahan also claimed that the Indian pacer took money from a Pakistani woman by the name of Alishba under the control of England-based businessman Mohammed Bhai. The complaint is about domestic violence and infidelity.
Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami and four other members of his family have been charged by Kolkata police after the fast bowler's wife Hasin Jahan lodged a complaint.
Talking about her life, Hasin said: "I am not in touch with my first husband". Even after my wife was trolled so much in the past I stood by her. "If I have tortured her then she needs to prove it", said Shami.
Jahan also alleged that Shami has a girlfriend, a Pakistani citizen, and wanted to take her with him during India's tour of Sri Lanka in 2017.
Shami had defended himself, saying the allegations were part of a conspiracy against him.
"All these accusations made against me are baseless". She has to prove all the allegations made against me.
The controversy has already cost Shami as India's cricket board has put the 27-year-old bowler's annual contract with the national team on hold while an investigation is conducted.
"Shami abused me and started beating me even after returning from South Africa".
This has led to different threads of discussion on social media: instances of players in various sports with turbulent personal lives who continued to shine professionally, whether BCCI's action is more pre-emptive than prudent, whether Shami is being falsely implicated, whether his wife was right in naming and shaming the women etc. "I have proof", Jahan said. She has alleged that Shami is a womaniser and that his family tried to kill her before.
Responding to match-fixing allegations levelled against him by his wife, cricketer Mohammed Shami on Thursday said that he would "rather die than cheat his country".
On March 7, Hasin Jahan claimed that Mohammed Shami has been having affairs with women in different parts of the country and outside.
