Minaj also suggested Cardi B wasn't grateful enough for rapping on the same track as her. "The first thing that came out of her mouth about a #Nicki Minaj feature was 'she changed the verse.'" Minaj said that Cardi B and Migos were given ample opportunity to clear the air about what really happened, but nobody chose to do so. In response to the idea that she changed her verse, Nicki took to Twitter, writing, "How can you say someone changed their verse & forget to say Quavo TOLD me to remove my singing part (which I loved) & Atlantic told me to remove your name from my verse per your request?"
Nicki Minaj is one of the hottest acts to enter the global music scene. This was months after he and Nicki had broken up, but it's still obviously very important to her. People just want to pin it so much because it's entertainment.I spoke to [Minaj] before.I don't want nobody sneak-dissing me.
Cardi released her debut LP "Invasion of Privacy" on Friday, April 6, with a source telling US Weekly the 25-year-old is "focused on her own music and respects all the female rappers that came before her".
She also noted that Quavo didn't feel the need to defend her in the situation: "He texted me, he was like, 'I would go on Twitter and back you up if you were my girl lol.' And that hurt, because he's somebody..." And I'm not saying that in a cocky way but like *sniffs* Yikes. I still have the text on my phone where I said, 'Yeah, let's do it.' And that's the only story I told. Because there's two big people - I just started in the game, so I know that if I get on this record, it's gonna be insane. "Then what? What if Nicki spits a bar at me?" "That really, really hurt me because I really, fully supported her". That is, however, just one white dude's guess as to what she's really saying.
"At the time I did love both of them and I couldn't erase the love that I had for my team, but I also couldn't speak out..." But I'll get into detail on that in the documentary and possibly on the album.
