Now, you might be thinking that 71% isn't a awful score, but if you look at how Star Wars: The Last Jedi performed with the audience, it could mean the movie is actually really, really bad.
While doubts have swirled around Alden Ehrenreich, who takes on the title character, along with behind-the-scenes issues and questions as to the "point" of the movie, Glover's Lando has looked every bit as cool and charming as Billy Dee Williams' version, something the reviews have since confirmed. From the very beginning, Newton has been really excited about being part of this new era of diversity and female heroism in Star Wars. But we hope that decision ends up being the one Lucasfilm makes.
What we know so far about Thandie Newton's character is that she is Val Beckett, Tobias' wife (Woody Harrelson) and a member of his crew with some serious blaster skills. "It would be fun to tell the story of Han and Chewie". But that comic series takes place before Solo: A Star Wars Story, and presumably a big screen spin-off would take place after the events of that movie.
