Moto Z3 different from the less-expensive variant is shrouded by the phone's glass-and-metal enclosure. Moto Z3 and 5G Moto Mod are exclusive to Verizon in the US.
Just yesterday, Motorola unveiled its latest entry in the Z lineup: the Moto Z3. This means, unlike the last year Moto Z family that included the Moto Z2 Force and Moto Z2 Play, there will be the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play this year.
Motorola launched the Moto Z3 at a list price of $480, which translates to Rs. 33,000 approximately. The smartphone will go on sale exclusively through Verizon in Ceramic Black colour option starting August 16.
The Moto Z3 will retail for $480, and will be available exclusively on Verizon in the United States, at least for now.
The Motorola Moto Z3 comes with a 6-inch OLED display panel with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. There is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and a 12-megapixel monochrome sensor, combined with a dual LED flash.
To the front, the phone comes with an 8 MP camera which has an aperture of f/2.0 and an 84° wide field of view. In terms of the software, the Moto Z3 boots near stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with Moto enhancements. Once the 5G Moto Mod clicks into place on your Moto Z3, it will take over all modem functions, both 4G and 5G, from the phone. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Turbocharging support. However, the cool thing about Moto Z3 is that it is super thin and that it sells for the somewhat affordable price of $460. Verizon, Motorola's partner with the Moto Z3 and this Mod, is launching 5G service in four markets later this year, but that's residential broadband and not mobile. Under ideal conditions in the lab, the 5G Moto Mod hit a peak speed of 3.5Gbps for downloads.
Motorola has also introduced 5G moto mod with built-in 2000mAh battery. The company has no plans to bring the Z3 Force this year. Existing Moto Mods cost anywhere from $50 to $200.
