The project includes nine overground stations, each with a 300-meter long platform that can be accessed by pilgrims via specific routes to the waiting areas under the stations, each of which can accommodate more than 3,000 people.
"There are specific routes and roads that have been created in past years as part of the Hajj infrastructure to help the pilgrims make an easy journey from Arafat to Muzdalifah".
Qatar's National Human Rights Committee said Riyadh had shut down an electronic registration system used by travel agencies to obtain permits for Qatari pilgrims.

"Registration of pilgrims from the State of Qatar remains closed and residents of Qatar can not be granted visas as there are no diplomatic missions", added the official.

The oil-flush kingdom ended its ban on women driving in June and has boosted female employment in a male-dominated society.
Although 1,200 Qataris are eligible to perform the Hajj under the system, Qatar says it has become impossible to get permits, blaming the campaign by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt to cut trade and diplomatic ties with the country.
Hajj will officially end on Tuesday, when Saudi Arabia celebrates Eid-ul-Azha, with the Korbani sacrifices. Pilgrims will return to pray there at the end of Haj.
