Thomas has 402 receiving yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season with the Broncos.
Demaryius Thomas knew about the trade rumors, but he said he woke up Tuesday thinking about playing for the Broncos, the franchise that drafted him in 2010 and the only one he had been part of since.
The teams will also swap seventh-round picks. He has five consecutive seasons of at least 90 catches and 1,000 receiving yards.
One of these apparently included wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.
Thomas is signed through next season, but has a base salary of $14 million, which would have been interesting if he would have came to New England.
But the Texans found a willing trade partner in Denver.
Both the Texans and Broncos have had their ups-and-downs this season with the Texans being 5-3 overall and the Broncos entering the game at 3-5, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 30-23 last Sunday.
It won't take long for Thomas to get a chance to go up against his former teammates. So the gambling public is far less bullish on Denver than they were Sunday night.
The Titans have looked quiet as the 2018 trade deadline approaches at 3 p.m CT on Tuesday, but that doesn't mean they didn't attempt any moves.
